About the Author

Connie Miller

I am currently a senior at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. I am majoring in Communication Disorders. I will be graduating in May 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree.  After graduating I plan on attending the University of Cincinnati or Northeastern Ohio AuD Consortium to obtain my Doctorate in Audiology. After I receive my degrees my dream job is to work at a children's hospital.

I am originally from Proctor, West Virginia which is about 30 minutes away from Wheeling, West Virginia.  The small community that I grew up in was called St. Joseph.  I have to admit that it is completely in the middle of nowhere, but the silence and country setting was relaxing and entertaining as I grew up.

My parents are Jim and Helen Miller.  I have one older sister, Andrea, who is 26 years old. She is happily married to my brother-in-law, Brandon, and they have a son named Cody who is six. From my parents to even the youngest member of my immediate family, Cody, these people have been a huge support and great inspiration throughout my life.  They are responsible for shaping me into the mature and intelligent young adult that I have become.
