I’m pure PA inside and out- born and raised in Warren, Pennsylvania. Growing up I loved exploring in the woods, which led to my interest in animals. My passions in life are running (marathons, triathlons), dancing (I’ll do it to all kinds of music), and hanging out with family and friends. Traveling is also very important to me. The traveling bug led me to many adventures I’ve had across the US, working as a field biologist (and some less glamorous employment) in California, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Colorado. These excursions eventually led me to Marshall University in 2006 where I started working towards obtaining my MS in biology. Before my many expeditions I attended Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia, where I graduated with a BS in biology in 2003, while playing collegiate softball my freshman and sophomore years. Generally, I’m an invertebrate type of gal, but I have a soft spot in my warm blooded heart for the cold-blooded types, especially lizards, salamanders and snakes. Although I do like baby bunnies too. |
