Discussion
I. JESUS IS COMING.
    A. The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again.
        1. Jesus promised that He would come again (John 14:1-3).
(Mat 25:31 NKJV) ""When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy
angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory."
        2. The angels announced that Jesus would come again.
(Acts 1:11 NKJV) "who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up
into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so
come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.""
            a. Interestingly, the angels announced Jesus 1st coming.
            b. The angels announced His 2nd coming.
            c. And the angels will also accompany His 2nd coming.
(Mark 8:38 NKJV) ""For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this
adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be
ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.""
        3. The apostles taught that Jesus would come again.
(1 Th 1:9-10 NKJV) "For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of
entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and
true God, {10} and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the
dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come."
(Heb 9:28 NKJV) "so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those
who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for
            salvation."

(2 Pet 3:10 NKJV) "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in
which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt
with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up."
    B. The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again with no signs.
(Mark 13:32 NKJV) ""But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in
heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
        1. It will be when least expected (Mat 24:37-42).
    C. The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming but not back to the earth (1 Thess
        4:13-18).
II. ALL THE DEAD WILL BE RAISED.
    A. There will be a general resurrection of both the good & the evil (Jon. 5:28-29).
    B. The resurrection will be a bodily resurrection.
(1 Cor 15:35-38 NKJV) "But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up? And with
what body do they come?" {36} Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it
        dies. {37} And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain;
perhaps wheat or some other grain. {38} But God gives it a body as He pleases, and
to each seed its own body."
        1. Everyone will receive new bodies.
(2 Cor 5:1 NKJV) "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed,
we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the
            heavens."
    C. The resurrection will be patterned after Jesus' resurrection.
(1 Cor 15:20 NKJV) "But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the
firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep."
III. EVERYONE WILL STAND BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST.
    A. There is a judgment day coming.
(Mat 25:31-32 NKJV) ""When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy
angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. {32} "All the nations will be
gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd
divides his sheep from the goats."

        1. (2 Thess 1:7-9; Act 17:30-31; Heb 9:27)
(Rev 20:12-13 NKJV) "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before
God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book
of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which
were written in the books. {13} The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and
Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were
judged, each one according to his works."
    B. Jesus will be the judge.
(John 5:22 NKJV) ""For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to
        the Son,"
(2 Tim 4:1 NKJV) "I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who
will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:"
    C. Jesus will be just (John 12:48).
        1. Secret things (Eccl.. 12:13-14).
        2. Words (Mat 12:36-37).
        3. Deeds done in the body (2 Cor 5:10).
        4. Fruits of our deeds (Jer 17:10).
    D. What will be the outcome? There will be a separation!
IV. THE LOST WILL GO INTO HELL.
    A. Hell is a real place.
        1. It is a place of torment.
(Rev 20:10 NKJV) "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire
and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be
tormented day and night forever and ever."
        2. It is a place of eternal punishment (Mat 25:46).
        3. It is a place described as a lake of fire.
        4. It is a place of outer darkness.
(Mat 8:12 NKJV) ""But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer
darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.""
    B. Hell is an eternal place.
        1. "Eternal punishment" & "Eternal life" are the same in duration.
            a. But not the same in quality.
    C. Hell is the place for the unsaved.
(Psa 9:17 NKJV) "The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget
        God."
(Mat 25:41 NKJV) ""Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me,
you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:"
V. THE SAVED WILL GO INTO HEAVEN.
    A. Heaven is a real place.
        1. It is where Jesus is now.
(Acts 7:55 NKJV) "But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and
saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,"
(Phil 3:20 NKJV) "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly
wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,"
(Col 4:1 NKJV) "Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing
that you also have a Master in heaven."
        2. It is where the saved will be after the judgment (John 14:1-3).
(1 Pet 1:4 NKJV) "to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not
fade away, reserved in heaven for you,"
    B. Heaven will be God's children's eternal home.
        1. It is a better country (Heb 11:13-16).
        2. It is a prepared city.
        3. It is where our treasures are (Mat 6:19-20).
        4. It is called "a new heaven & new earth" (2 Pet 3:13).
        5. It is where the tree of life will be ultimately found (Rev 22:14).
    C. Heaven is a place now accepting reservations.
(Rev 20:15 NKJV) "And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the
        lake of fire."
        1. We must be prepared to enter heaven (H, B, C, B).
        2. Heaven is going to be a wonderful place.
(Rev 21:4 NKJV) ""And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall
be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the
            former things have passed away.""
    D. Heaven will not be upon this earth (2 Pet 3:10).
